Alert: New Registry Virus and Other Threats Slow Internet Traffic

New Registry virus Briss.A along with several Sasser variations and the relatively new Bobax are all keeping IT professionals hopping late this week.  Viral activity combined with increased SPAM traffic have been leading to slower internet traffic over the last few days.

Both Panda Software and Symantec had large additions to their virus definitions available as of Thursday, May 20th 2004.

Microsoft also had a number of new updates released last week.

Please take a moment to update BOTH your Operating System and Your Antivirus products.

According to some of the net news Twitter and FaceBook are under Denial of Service Attack so that is why the response is slow and erratic, it will be resolved soon.

Global router statistics for all of se asia is at about double its normal response time for this time of day.
