Below the software list is a complete procedure for protecting your computer AND removing most things that could have gotten in.

All of these may be downloaded for free from www.download.com . Find the top 10 Downloads list on the Homepage and they are all on it.

Windows 98, Windows 2000, Windows XP and Windows Vista all use the same software. Please be sure to download the correct version for your hardware.

After all files are downloaded, we recommend you unplug your computer from the internet. Then go into Control Panel, choose Add Remove Programs and there you must remove ALL the old AntiVirus Programs, and ALL antispyware, pop-up blockers,and anti-adware you already have installed on your Windows computer.

After that has been done turn the computer off. Take a break.

When you return, restart the computer. After EVERYTHING is done loading and the hourglass is no longer on the cursor THEN install the listed products.

After installation run a full scan with all programs, remove all the things they find.

Restart the computer again.

After the Computer up then re-attach the internet cable. Start each of the programs we listed, run the updates and run the scans.

This completes your required Security Software installation for your Windows PC.

Once you have completed this the first time you should Update and Scan once every 2 weeks on all 3 programs.

For those of you who complain that I give away too many of our secrets... Well, that short list and procedure is just the 'tip of the iceberg' as far as what a real Computer Dude can do.
